For the past thirty years I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant working with children in primary education. In 2009 I completed a BA in Fine Art, and then continued my studies at UAL Camberwell gaining an MA in Book Arts. I have been a 'maker’ since childhood, and value the process of making as much as any outcome. I work in various ways, from sculpture, drawing and artists books, to textiles. In particular I have a passion for hand sewing and am consistently amazed at what can be achieved with needle and thread. Hand stitching has enormous potential not just for practical uses but also as a unique and individual form of self expression.
